Setting the File Name

Use the same filename for an image each time you select an ImagePRINT driver as your printer, or choose from 2 other file naming standards. What you select as the file naming standard remains in effect until you reset it.

  • Use the same file name each time you print with ImagePRINT
  • Let ImagePRINT create a file name for you based on the name of the file.
  • Use a file name with a numeric suffix that increments by one number each time you print with ImagePRINT.

To set the file name:

  1. On the Options tab, under Output File Naming, select the Fixed option.
  2. To chose a different folder to store the file, click the Browse button, select the folder and click OK.

    Format: drive:\path\name.filetype

Where drive is the drive where the file is to be located, path is the path to the folder, name is the name of the file. Filetype is the extension for file type you select as the file format.

    Example: c:\images\TIFFimage.TIF

You can set another file prefix for the output file name. For more information, see Setting Output File Options

To use a Smart file name:

Where name is the file name to be used as a prefix to the number. This number is incremented by 1 for each file generated. Filetype is the extension for the file type you select as the file format.

    Examples:   c:\documents\image.TIF

    c:\documents\image01.TIF
