Printing Image Files from Applications

Using Image Viewer

Note:
If a previous version of the specific ImagePRINT driver is currently installed on your computer, remove it before you install the new version. For instructions, see Removing ImagePRINT

To Install ImagePRINT

1. If you downloaded the file from the website, ImagePRINT_TIFF.exe, ImagePRINT_PDF.exe, or ImagePRINT_JPG.exe.
2. Double-click ImagePRINT_TIFF.exe and follow the installation instructions.
3. If you are asked if you want to print a test page, click Yes. The ImagePRINT Print Driver dialog appears.
4. Click the OK button. If you are using the ImagePRINT TIFF or JPEG driver, the image appears in ImageViewer; if you are using the ImagePRINT PDF driver, the image appears in Adobe Acrobat.
5. Click the Print button.

If this process completed successfully, you are ready to go on to the next step.

Printing Image Files from Applications

You can create an image of a document, drawing, or Web page.

To print an image file from an application:

1. Open the document or graphic in the application, or open your Web browser.
2. Click the Print button, or from the File menu, select Print.
3. Select the ImagePRINT driver.

   

4. Set any application print options, such as the number of copies and page range to print.

   Note: You can set the resolution and dithering properties from an application before you print. In the Print dialog, click the Properties button, then click the Advanced button. In some applications, the Advanced option is located on the Layout tab, where you can also select Landscape or Portrait orientation.

5. Click the OK button or the Print button. The ImagePRINT Print Driver dialog appears.

   

6. Specify the name and location of the file. Use the Browse button to change the location.

   Note: You can change other options such as file naming, file format and page layout, email application launching, logging, and advanced options. For more information, see the following topics:

7. Click the Print button.

   The ImagePRINT driver stores the document in the specified folder and displays it in the Image ViewerIf you selected the ImagePRINT PDF driver, the image is displayed in the Adobe Acrobat Viewer.

Using Image Viewer

The Image Viewer automatically opens to display the page or pages you chose to capture when printing using the ImagePRINT TIFF or JPEG driver

Note: If you are using the ImagePRINT PDF driver, the image appears in the Adobe Acrobat Viewer.

Use the following buttons to open and print images, navigate multiple page documents, size images in the window and zoom in and out.

To navigate in Image Viewer:

Button	Use To
	Open another image document
	Print the image file
	View ImagePRINT version information
	Go to the previous page in a multiple page document
	Go to the next page in a multiple page document
	Size the page to fit the window
	Size the page to fit the width of the window
	Size the page to fit the height of the window
	View page at full size
	Zoom in on the page
	Zoom out on the page

Notes:

• To set the Image Viewer to open when you double-click a BMP, JPG, TIF, PNG, PCX, PDF or DCX image in a folder, select Set as Default Viewer from the Image Viewer Options menu.

• To set a document that has been compressed by ImagePRINT to print to the full width and height of your printer's printable area, select Print to Edge from the Options menu before you print.
